One Story Connects Us

“I’m no stranger,” I said, and pointed to his book. “I’m someone who reads the same authors you do.” [Lemony Snicket]

Today is Hans Christian Anderson’s birthday (1805), and since 1967, Children’s Book Day. Let’s celebrate wonderful books and in particular, the ones we find in childhood and never let go. Today’s quipple features words from Lemony Snicket (Daniel Handler), who is one of today’s great children’s book authors.

Please share in the comments – what were the special books of your childhood?

The Book Lover

There isn't a bookshelf big enough to suit me!

TDQ team members all love books, but K especially has a problem with collecting too many! (But is it really a problem, and are there really too many?) We also love C.S. Lewis’s quote, from which this quipple was spun: “You can’t get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me.”
